Product Description
This guitar wiring modification shows how to use a small value capacitor to add a treble bleed or high frequency bypass feature. This mod will help retain the high frequencies that are lost when the volume setting is reduced. In this version of the mod, a series resistor is added to limit the amount of high frequencies that bypass the volume pot which reduces the effect of the bleed circuit in cases when the capacitor alone has too much of an effect on the tone at reduced volume settings. Typical value for the series resistor is 470K or less. Typical capacitor value is .001mFd-.003.mFd Click diagram image to open full size version. Ready to get started?
