Inner Coils/Humbuckers/Outer Coils

This guitar wiring modification shows how to use a three position ON/OFF/ON double pole-double throw mini switch with two humbuckers to select between humbucker mode, and two single coil modes by tapping the  inner "slug pole" coils (Norths) or outer "screw pole" coils (Souths) at the same time.  Note: Combining to coils of the same polarity (North+North or South+South) will not cancel hum.  For the inner slug coils or the outer screw coils to be hum canceling combinations with Seymour Duncan, DiMarzio, Gibson and most other brands, one of the pickups must have the magnet reversed and use alternate wiring.
