Product Description
This guitar wiring modification shows how to use a double pole-double throw (DPDT) on/on/on mini switch to get 3 modes from a humbucker: Standard series humbucker mode, coil tap mode (North coil active) and parallel mode. In humbucker mode, the output will be strong with a smooth attack and a deep tone. In single coil mode, the sound will be slightly lower power with a sharper attack and a brighter tone. In parallel mode, the sound will be vintage output very clean and sparkly Note: Both series and parallel modes will be hum canceling but in single coil mode, the pickup is no longer hum canceling so a small amount of 60Hz hum may be heard.
