Needed to fit my pickups without using rings.
I bought these to redo my pickups since I have a solid body. No pick guard or pick up rings didn't want to spend extra money for them. I just had to snip a bit from the tip about a two to three threads. I also used longer springs then what came with the pick ups. I should have went with the tubing instead I had to snip the springs in half to work. I then put a washer on the screw slid it into the pickups. Used the spring and a washer then screwed into the wood with a few turns it's a perfect height. Then there is also some room if you want them lower without them going through the guitar.
