Product Description
CTS 500K Audio Taper Pro Guitar Pot with the V-Treb Variable Treble Bleed Circuit by Precision Music Technologies. The V-Treb variable treble bleed/bypass circuit corrects the problem of high frequency losses at reduced volume levels. Adjustable bleed level allows the user to set the amount of treble that bypasses the pot when the volume is reduced for precise control of how bright or warm the tone will be at lower volume levels. With the volume at 10, the V-Treb is removed from the circuit and does not affect the sound.
V-Treb Variable Treble Bleed/Bypass Circuit Features:
- Improves audio taper roll off between 6 and 10.
- Will not affect tone at full volume.
- Mounts to any volume pot with included adhesive tape.
- Can also be remote mounted for easier adjustment.
- Provides adjustment of tone at reduced volumes.
- Great for guitar or bass volume controls.

New life for my guitar
For the last 18 years I've bought and sold no less than 6 amps, trying to achieve the tone I was looking for but never quite getting there. I bought and installed this, in conjunction with the PMT Dual Mode Tone control, and I have finally gotten the tone AND control that I have been looking for. What a difference the v-treb makes and the fact that the v-treb was preassembled on the CTS 500K pot was a plus. Wiring this in place was very quick and simple. If you're looking to gain flexibility and get the tone you're looking for, look no further.

a tone seekers dream!
I'm always searching for good tone from 10-1 and instead of experimenting with different capacitors and resistors hours of soldering you could just stick this bad boy on and turn the adjustment screw for the perfect treble balance you are after. A tonal time saver. My search is over. Thank you guitarelectronics.com

This thing actually works!
I was somewhat skeptical about this pot, and it seems expensive compared to your standard volume pot, but what it offers is priceless (for me). I started with the adjustment wheel turned 3/4 of the way up. That was a little too far, so I backed it down to about 2/3 of the way up, and I have the perfect amount of treble retention that I have been trying to get by guessing at cap values before. To soon to tell how well the pot will hold up with heavy use, which it will certainly get since it does exactly what I want it to do, but 5 stars anyway because of the brilliant idea.
